The Dharma Bomb plays Florida-flavored roots rock with pop sensibilities and a deep groove. The songs are simple and honest and created by four generally sweaty musicians who are known for their intoxicating, unpredictable live shows. Led by singer/pianist Todd Thompson, they released Greetings from Lemon City in 1998. In 2000 they released their second record, The Glencoe Sessions (EP),and were named "Best Local Pop-Rock Band" by the Miami New Times.
Besides years of headlining in South Florida, they have played clubs from Los Angeles to New Orleans, including the House of Blues, and have opened up for national recording artists The Radiators. Their music has been heard on MTV's "FANatic" and "Making the Video", and in July of 1999, they were named semi-finalists in Lucky Strikes' national Band to Band Combat. Sean Edelson plays guitars and sings, as does bassist Brad Berman. Ari Schantz plays drums (and can't sing for shit.)
