The Velveteen Monster started out as Jux County's side project in 1997, but has evolved into one the most uniquely original outfits around. Described as a perfect blend of original film soundtrack, smoking room, and game show music, the VM features Ron Smith, Andy Monley, Chris Pearson and singer Denise LaNay. After opening for equally esoteric bands Acetone and 16 Horsepower, they play occasional live shows, instrumental Halloween bashes, and art gallery openings around Denver, Colorado. | |
